MINUTES OF CDRA COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD ON FRIDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2026 AT 2.PM.
AT 44 ROTHSCHILD DRIVE
Present: Diana Hindle, Tom Middleditch, Tony Amber. Ian McMichael. Allan Duncan
Committee Membership:
Ian was welcomed back by all.
Allan reported that John has had to take a step back due to work commitments.
Gardening and Ground Maintenance:
It was agreed that the gardening is ‘acceptable,’ bearing in mind the time of the year. However, it was felt that some hedges were a lot higher than others.
Allan would liaise with Tony and arrange a meeting with Alec (head of the gardening company) to discuss any potential problems and complaints. A report of the meeting would then be circulated to the full Committee.
The Orange Grove:
Whilst there have not been any parking problems - mainly due to the time of the year, Diana suggested that, when the next Family Event , or similar events are advertised, we send a gentle reminder to the management to ensure that the ‘no parking’ cones, etc are set up.
ERMC:
Allan will establish the details of the most effective contact and pass the details to Tom, who will start a conversation about the upcoming Service Charge.
Allan will chase ERMC for an update on the outstanding work on the balancing pond. He will also suggest that a net covering be fitted to deal with any rubbish which might be thrown in.
Tony reported that the broken drain cover and the damage around it had still not been repaired, Allan would chase ERMC.
Damage to wall, etc at entrance to Coldeast Drive:
PLEASE NOTE – since our meeting, the Leader of the Council has posted on FB that he is in contact with the right authority to have the damage repaired. We will follow this to track progress. At Tom’s request, Allan will highlight the need to clear the footpath to ensure that children, and pushchairs are not forced on to the road.
Social Event:
Diana offered to host an ‘American Supper’ for the Committee and ex-Committee Members and partners at her house on Friday 10th April. She would send out more details in due course.
Next Committee Meeting:
The next meeting will be held on Friday, 15th May, starting at 2 p.m. In the meantime, Allan will find out details of room availability at The Orange Grove for our AGM.
